The exception: daily word puzzles

Why puzzles are different

Strands, Wordle and Connections show up in this trending list almost every day. Millions of adults already do a daily puzzle. A family that does a word puzzle together can do a maths one together — that's the whole reason the Sunday Family Quiz exists.

Copy you can use → The whole family does Wordle. Nobody does one maths puzzle together.
→ You already do Strands every morning. Try this one with your 4th grader instead.
→ Six minutes on Connections. Four on the maths one. We can work with that.

In our world today

The same question, narrowed to maths, school and parenting. This is where a usable moment is far more likely to appear than in the general lists above.

Education & parenting in the news, last two days

New videos picking up speed in our topics, last 4 days

Two things to know about this list

This list changes every few minutes. Don't plan a post around one entry.

Trending music isn't here because Instagram doesn't share that list anywhere. The only way to see it is inside the Instagram app, in the Reels editor — a five-minute weekly job for a person.

Ideas

Every idea from the research, written out separately for each place it can run. The same idea needs different words in an ad than in a post. An FB ad stops a stranger and ends with Book a Free 1-on-1 Class; an organic post earns a follow from someone who never buys. So each idea shows one version per place, and says where it shouldn't run at all.

Overnight suggestions — drafts, not decisions

Written by the robot from the night's material, then machine-checked against the ban lists. To keep one, ask for it to be promoted. To reject one, say so. A draft nobody touches disappears by itself after a week. The approved cards above are never machine-edited.

Why maths feels harder in September than it did in June

Parents read the first hard weeks back as a new problem with their child. Naming it as the normal shape of a school year lowers the panic and opens the door to help.

Hooks to start from
  • The first weeks back are the hardest maths of the year.
  • Nothing broke over the summer. It just went quiet.
  • September asks for things June already knew.

The moment you knew

Parents rarely find out from school. They find out at the kitchen table, in a small moment they almost let pass. Naming that moment makes them feel seen instead of judged.

Hooks to start from
  • It usually isn't the report card.
  • You noticed it at the kitchen table.
  • The homework got finished. Something still felt off.

You don't have to become the whole school

Stories like this leave parents with one apparent option: take on everything yourself. Handing off a single subject is a much smaller move, and most families can actually make it.

Hooks to start from
  • Some parents leave their jobs over this. There is a smaller move.
  • You can hand off a single subject without rearranging your whole life.
  • Fixing maths doesn't have to mean running a classroom at your kitchen table.

The signs that show up before the report card

Most parents find out late, from a grade. The earlier signals were at home all along and nobody named them.

Hooks to start from
  • The report card is usually the last place you find out.
  • Homework that used to be quick now eats the whole evening.
  • Watch for the dodge: the sudden bathroom trip, the lost worksheet, the endlessly sharpened pencil.
Could be

The morning they remember it without you

Parents are exhausted from being the reminder system. Showing a child taking over their own maths habit sells relief and pride at the same time.

Hooks to start from
  • You have been the reminder. What happens the week you stop?
  • Chasing homework is a job nobody applied for.
  • The handover is the point. Everything before it is scaffolding.
Could be

When help turns into doing it for them

Parents already ask themselves this about lunchboxes and permission slips. Nobody asks it about the homework table, where rescuing looks exactly like being a good parent.

Hooks to start from
  • You gave her the next step before she asked for it.
  • So when does helping turn into doing it for her?
  • You know when to let him forget his lunchbox. Math homework is harder to call.

Three rules before anything goes into ads

Public comments cannot appear in ads. A YouTube comment or Reddit post is quotable editorially; in paid creative it's a rights problem. Paid uses our line or our released testimonial footage.

Ads follow their own rulebook. The ad CTA is Book a Free 1-on-1 Class, one statistic per ad, and words like “best” or “#1” get ads rejected. Every ad draft gets its own approval round.

For creators: track them by their @handle, not their name. Keep our closing line and ask. For a repeat creator, work from the video they actually posted last time — not from the brief.

Surfaces not in these cards, and why

Pinned posts and highlights take the best instalment of each franchise, not new ideas. Community responses (comments, DMs) react rather than plan. WhatsApp and email have their own copy owners. And trending audio shapes execution on the day — it's collected by a human in the Reels editor, not planned here.

How we read this

A thread title is a parent's question, written by the parent. That's the value — real phrasing we would never have guessed, from this week.

What we get is titles, dates and links, not the comments underneath. Open the link before you write from it.

Start with this one

r/Mommit · 1 Aug 2026

"Outsourced my kid's math tutoring and got my evenings back"

A parent posting about tutoring and the benefit she names is her own evening. Not grades, not confidence, not catching up. The end of the nightly argument.

Nobody in this category sells that, and it's true of us. It's also honest — the fight over homework is the thing a parent actually lives with. Open r/Mommit

Hooks it gives you → You got your evenings back. That's allowed to be the reason.
→ Nobody tells you the best part is not having the argument.
→ Twenty minutes of "I don't get it" every night. That's what actually changed.

How to check anything on this page

Four kinds of information appear on this page, and they don't deserve equal trust. The coloured mark on each block tells you which kind you're reading.

CollectedSaved automatically from public places, word for word. Every quote links to the original.
ClearedAlready approved for publishing — the only figures allowed on a slide.
SourcedExternal research or official notice, linked at point of use. Real, but not cleared to publish until it is approved.
InterpretationA working conclusion drawn from the data — not the data itself. This is the kind most worth questioning.
How this page stays honest

Before every upload, a checker compares every quote and every number on this page against the collected data. A quote that isn't in the data, or a number with no named source, blocks the upload — and the previous day's page stays up instead.

What the checker cannot do

It confirms that things are traceable, not that they're true. It can't spot a wrong conclusion drawn from correct data, or a real source that's simply unreliable. That part is human — if a block marked Interpretation looks wrong to you, it may well be. Say so.

Two dates still unconfirmed

MATHCOUNTS 2026-27 registration. Mid-August is the historical pattern; this year's date was not announced when we checked. Don't publish against it yet.

Noetic Learning contest dates, National STEM Day and International Dot Day — all searched, none confirmed, so all left off rather than guessed at. Worth adding once someone confirms them.

How to use a festival

The date is for timing. Publish in the week people are already thinking about it and let the content stay ours. A family scene that happens to fall at Ganesh Chaturthi works. Diyas as a border, our colours changed for the week, or a festival offer does not.

The three to plan early: Diwali on 8 Nov and Pi Day on 14 Mar are the two biggest of the year, and Teachers' Day on 5 Sep is the closest to what we sell. All three want deciding months ahead, not weeks.
